Who’s negotiating on our behalf?
Yes, that is the real question! Who is working for our benefit?
Our communities have spiraled out of control. We are disconnected in so many ways. We are everywhere --TV, movies, national organizations, fortune 500 companies, government, politicians, etc—you name it and we are there. Yet, we as a race either do not realize our dire situation or we do not care. I am going to give us the benefit of the doubt and conclude that we do not realize what is happening.
What is happening to us as a group? Who is working for this community? We have Black representation on the political front and government administrators. So why are we steadily getting farther and farther behind economically? Believe it or not, Donald Trump’s comments in a recent Iowa campaign meeting struck a nerve with me. Mr. Trump described the problems with having the wrong people at the table when negotiating deals. Is that our problem? Do we have the right people at the table? Do we have as much right to receive public funded contracts as other groups? Or, do we all believe these funds are the other groups inalienable rights? Your thoughts?
